Gataë means spoilt one in creole (Mauritian dialect). At Gataë, we are curating a collection of luxury, timeless pieces for those who want to feel spoilt. Our founder Nathalie grew up in Mauritius and is deeply connected to the country and its lifestyle.

After living in New Zealand for over 30 years, Nathalie wants to share her Mauritian roots and culture with Kiwis. Laidback, sun filled, full of love. 

Our first brand to bring to New Zealand shores is Goyave, a beautiful selection of thoughtfully designed and hand crafted sandals from Mauritius. Made from a high quality composite leather, these sandals are the perfect addition to any wardrobe all year round.
